Residents at Kenwyn enjoyed a lively and cheerful musical session when Glenis and Keith came in to sing and play for everyone.

The afternoon was full of fun and action songs, giving residents plenty of opportunities to join in, move to the music and enjoy the atmosphere together. Photos show Pete, Lesley, Ange and Tim listening along, and happily took part in The Hokey Cokey. There were also some lovely dancing moments, including Sarah and Ange getting up to enjoy the music.

Adding a festive touch to the session was a visit from Seamus, who helped everyone celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a few Irish songs. Seamus, brought to life by Glenis, brought plenty of smiles as he met residents including Vic and Lesley. The music continued with Glenis playing her banjo-lele and Keith adding to the performance on the harmonica.

Sessions like this can make a real difference to wellbeing, encouraging movement, participation and social connection in a relaxed and enjoyable way. Music has a special way of bringing people together, and this event created a warm, engaging atmosphere that residents could enjoy in their own way, whether by singing, dancing or simply listening.

It was a wonderful celebration filled with music, laughter and good company.
