There was plenty of laughter at Kenwyn as residents and staff came together to celebrate Wear a Hat Day with a fun-filled afternoon of hats, games and sweet treats.

Residents enjoyed taking part in balloon games, tucking into cupcakes and joining in with a selection of silly games, all while showing off a wonderful variety of headwear. The photos capture the light-hearted spirit of the day beautifully, with Ange wearing a black sombrero alongside Gordon in a pale blue bonnet, Peter in a black trilby and later smiling in a pale yellow woven bonnet, Marj in a pale yellow spring bonnet, and Trish looking very chic in a black pillbox hat.

Staff joined in the fun too, helping to make the event even more enjoyable. One lovely image shows Paula in a black sombrero with Ange in a pale pink woven bonnet, while another captures Ange placing the sombrero on Paula. A group photo of Paula, Ange and Hannah wearing their hats together sums up the cheerful mood of the occasion.

Days like this are a wonderful way to support wellbeing, bringing residents and staff together through shared laughter, conversation and light-hearted activity. It was a simple but very enjoyable celebration, and the different hats certainly added plenty of personality to the afternoon.
